Rancho la Hermosa Team

Rebranding update

Rancho La Hermosa Orphanage and One Generation Alliance are transitioning into two distinct but closely aligned organizations.

One Generation Alliance Expands Its Vision While Empowering Rancho La Hermosa Orphanage to Operate Independently

Baja California, Mexico — January 2026

One Generation Alliance is entering a new and exciting season of growth in Mexico—one that strengthens local leadership, increases long-term sustainability, and expands impact across multiple programs serving orphaned children.

As part of this growth, One Generation Alliance and Rancho La Hermosa Orphanage are entering a new season of partnership. Rancho La Hermosa will operate independently under local Mexican leadership, with its own governance, while One Generation Alliance expands its vision to pioneer multiple programs to care for the orphan in Baja. One Generation Alliance will continue to financially fund and provide strategic resources to Rancho La Hermosa as a valued partner alongside additional initiatives serving children and young adults.

Why This Transition Matters

From its earliest days (2008), One Generation Alliance has existed to develop, sustain, and reproduce thriving orphanages in Baja, Mexico. The vision has always been to create an alliance of orphan care programs, and create more than one orphanage. Over time, that vision has grown to include transitional housing, mentorship, and future family-style orphanages.

This transition allows:

  • Rancho La Hermosa Orphanage to operate with greater local autonomy, leadership, and the ability to fundraise independently

  • One Generation Alliance to steward resources, partnerships, and vision across multiple programs while continuing to support Rancho La Hermosa as a valued partner

Rather than stepping away, One Generation Alliance is intentionally empowering the Mexican leadership team at Rancho La Hermosa to lead the home they know and love, while strengthening the broader ecosystem of care for children and young adults in the region.

What Is Not Changing

While the organizational structure is evolving, the heart of the work remains the same.

  • Children at Rancho La Hermosa continue to receive the same loving, Christ-centered care

  • Relationships between the two organizations remain strong and collaborative

  • One Generation Alliance remains committed to financially supporting Rancho La Hermosa

  • Shared values, faith, and long-term vision continue to unite the work

This transition reflects maturity, trust, and a shared desire to see ministry in Mexico led and sustained by local leaders for generations to come.

Looking Ahead

As One Generation Alliance expands its vision, the organization will continue to invest in programs that walk with children and young adults through every stage of life—from childhood, to transition, to independent adulthood. This includes ongoing support of Rancho La Hermosa Orphanage, The Mentor Home, and future initiatives designed to meet urgent needs in Baja.

“Our goal has always been bigger than one organization,” says Dave Edmondson, Founder of OGA, “It’s about building strong, sustainable homes and programs that will serve children well into the future. This transition positions both organizations to do exactly that.”
